Alright so I recently stumbled upon the old thread and noticed how long it was. Also most of the brides from it are gone so I figured we should start a new one! So girls lets introduce ourselves.
I' m from Trinidad but came here when I was 8 mos. I've been back about 4 times. FH is from Guyana, (figures right?)
We have been together for a long time and now that this wedding is happening, I am trying to plan the wedding of my dreams while still incorporating some of the good ol tradition, that the In laws want

he's trying to learn all the slang we use and how to pronounce things the way we do. but he still can't understand when my mother and father talk to him sometimes; he gets lost.
