Alright so I recently stumbled upon the old thread and noticed how long it was. Also most of the brides from it are gone so I figured we should start a new one! So girls lets introduce ourselves.
I' m from Trinidad but came here when I was 8 mos. I've been back about 4 times. FH is from Guyana, (figures right?)
We have been together for a long time and now that this wedding is happening, I am trying to plan the wedding of my dreams while still incorporating some of the good ol tradition, that the In laws want

Hey, I am using a DOC. I love her. She is simply amazing. I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She is like your best friend in the world during planning stages. I live in FL so I needed the help along the way. I am planning myself but I know if I get stuck with an idea I know who to call. She also was the DOC at my sister's wedding and honestly my parents were WOWED....they still talk about her to this day and has nothing but praises for her. If you would like to know anything in specific feel free to FM me. She is going to be our family party planner but she doesn't know it yet.
Her name is Lisa and she is from Elite Affairs. She is a vendor on here.

I'm also using a DOC, I booked Christine from EAP. She's great, very friendly and helpful. I'm having 350 guests and I want to make sure everything goes well, I know FH's family will be driving her crazy; but she can handle them better than I can.

So I have started my new job and have discovered that LIW is not blocked!! YES! lol
Anywho, ellie I love the idea of the masks for a calypso theme! And I am using a DOC who I won from the LIW expo..Thank God, she is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She has been really helpful so far and the icing on the cake..its free baby..woot woot
Speaking of cakes.....I am trying to find a modern cake for a not so modern price!!!! o the problems of wedding planning.
