New Poll for the night...CHILDREN

Original post by jeffamanda080808

It seems that there have been a few post about children attending the wedding. So yet again I'll ask...children or no children.

ETS: FH's nephew is the only child attending wedding. He is the Junior Best Man. He's nine and VERY close with FH.

LOL omg that is funny though but you know what, the grandmother is probably saying this bc maybe she knows she'll be the one who ends up taking care of them and she wants to enjoy the wedding.

so true but NOT MY PROBLEM if my mom didnt want my sister to bring her kids somewhere she would say 'hey dont bring your kids bc i am not watching them' then it would be on my sister to watch them!

but honestly, children are invited to all of our events and they have a great time, they eat and dance and play and then go into a corner and fall asleep. . . it was never an issue and i am hoping that continues for my wedding too!

see i always pictured kids at the wedding, and we're still gonna have our rb and fg there. It was FH who brought up the no kids thing and at first i said no way i want kids there...then i remembered just how many kids are in his family and also others we know but i still wanted them there. WELL fh kinda won that debate when we went to an event where not one thing were we able to hear bc the whole time the kids were on the dance floor screaming, crying, rolling on the floor or whatever it might be lol. Forget even hearing the speech but it was hard to even look at them giving speeches, i kept looking at what the kids we're doing, fh saw this and said 'this is why i don't want kids at the wedding' so he won that arguement. So i said to invite just a few kids then but his family said there is NO way we can invite some of the kids and tell others they cant bring them bc it will start world war 3 with his family lol which i understand. Plus its so hard to justifiy $90 for kids, maybe i can talk to JT and see if i can get a deal on this...do you remember the cutoff age where they pay full price...i know its half price but up to what age?

Granted I'll have only one person that's between that age, but come on. They can't drink and that's usually what tacks onto the price. Oh well

so very true, and until you said it i never thought of it...same thing, i wont have many between that age group but still a few actually.

BUt for example when i went to a wedding at JT in in june, there happened to be a wedding where the couple were 18 years old and so were many of their guests so in that sense they do get a bit screwed, bc i am sure they had open bar

that would've been funny...but i guess in that situation with the bride and groom being 18 years old they had to approach things differently and probably did ask for ID...i think some weren't even 18 years old. A bunch of us saw them outside taking pics and honestly we were saying these ppl HAVE to be in hs, and its not a situation where someone just looks younger but you can tell just how young they were...we asked one of the bm's at JT and they told us the bride and groom were 18 years old and that yeah the bp alot of them were in HS.

I had a children's table with a babysitter and some activities for her to do with them. It worked out great and I love kids. They actually were well behaved and they had alot of fun.

what are their ages. . .i think anyone under 5 should be with their parents bc they need some assistance eating etc.
anyone over 16 should also probably be with the adults too
