My parents love him. He is very smart and they can tell he will take care of me. My father always asks him for mechanical advice and my mother is always teasing him like its one of her own kids.
His father and step mother love me. And i love them. His mother...not too sure. And I'll leave it at that.

My mom likes FH a lot. Let's just say he's a welcome change. I haven't met his mom yet, but his dad and step-mom like me. I am not used to his dad, and he's kind of quirky, but I'm learning to accept him for who he his (FHs dad).
FH helps us a lot around the house -- and my mom enjoys talking to him. The two of them always pick on me together

My mom loves him. FH parents like me and FH says his mom like me better than she likes him. His family is totally different from my family, so I think my family intimidated him at first......I'm from a loud, crazy, italian family.....just think my big fat greek wedding and that is my family

I think they were very tentative at first since I've been hurt and he comes with a lot of baggage. He's definitely grown on them and my mother seems to love him. Can tell my father likes him cause he always picks on him. His family loves me cause they feel I 'saved' him after his horrible divorce. He actually has a relationship with them again.

You have one of those families too? FH was definately intimidated by my family. His family consistes of just him and his mom in the area. My parents love him. Dad loves talking sports with him, they can talk for hours. His mom I really dont know how she feels, basically I think she likes me but she is in early stages of dementia and things can get a little hairy at times.

His parents love me. Before we dated they tried to get him to break up with his g/f for me.. My mother and grandmother love him, my dad hated him until the day I got my ring then he did a complete 180... idk what happened there.
Funny story, As for my sisters FH, they all liked him until she got the ring, now the entire family wants him gone!!! (I personally never liked him)

my parents love him. my father was real hard on him in the beggining..just blatantly rude. but now he refers to him as his son inlaw to everyone. His mom loves me. she has a weird way of showing it sometimes, but she does.

My parents love him and his 2 kids. His Mom likes me. The rest of the family doesnt. For some reason they like his ex better. I raise FH's two kids with him...and everyone feels bad for her and thinks I am stealing her kids. Its' just ridiculous drama.

My mother and father, #1 dont want me getting married and #2 thinks that no man is ever good enough for me....That being said, My mom likes FH but has been really hard on him lately about being able to support me and all that stuff, yadda yadda. She is starting to talk to him like she would talk to me when she is 'lecturing' so I am assuming she is starting to think of him as her own son. PLUS she made him cookies and muffins because of his back problem and my mom NEVER bakes...she doesnt even bake for me, but she bakes for FH!! My father is typical italian father who's daughter is going to marry an irish guy...that explains it there doesnt it? Doesnt help I am an only child and my father is very protective of me...Not like i've really had a conversation with my father in months without fighting though...

Aww sorry its a little tough...its hard when your an only child or the first getting married, I think parents tend to get really overprotective.
When FH & I moved in together and I moved up to CT to be with him, they weren't too happy, but now they realize how he takes care of me and they are really happy.
Just give it time gaby, it seems your mom is definitely coming around!
