my parents love FH. we have been together for such a long time (8.5 years) that they have really gotten to know each other very well. he works with my dad & brother doing construction. he does little things that impress my mom. like help my sister with her dog or play with my niece & nephew.
FMIL adores me. i started working at the same place she does in May to help her out so she was able to stop working on saturdays so she loves me for that. we get along great & she is very open minded. FFIL loved me. he was very approving of me & even told me that anything i wanted for the wedding he would give me. (unfortunettly he passed away prior to us even getting engaged & it makes me super sad that he wont be at our wedding, but i am very happy to know how much he loves me.)

My mother and father, #1 dont want me getting married and #2 thinks that no man is ever good enough for me....That being said, My mom likes FH but has been really hard on him lately about being able to support me and all that stuff, yadda yadda. She is starting to talk to him like she would talk to me when she is 'lecturing' so I am assuming she is starting to think of him as her own son. PLUS she made him cookies and muffins because of his back problem and my mom NEVER bakes...she doesnt even bake for me, but she bakes for FH!! My father is typical italian father who's daughter is going to marry an irish guy...that explains it there doesnt it? Doesnt help I am an only child and my father is very protective of me...Not like i've really had a conversation with my father in months without fighting though...
Tell your Dad that the Irish / Italian combination is the best of both worlds.

My parents love my FH. He already is part of the family. My dad and him will call each other and talk sports every week. Since my brother is estranged from the family- its the son he gets to be close with.
His family on the other hand.....they are OTB jews, so a southern christian was not what they were hoping their only son would marry. But I am respectful of them and always take their 'constructive' criticism with a grain of salt. The important part is FH loves me and will be there for me, no matter what!

Why is that so common?? Myself included, they love him, not so sure about his, although things have gotten much better.

My parents love him. My mom claims that if I dont marry him, she will haha.
His parents like me as well, and he mom constantly refers to me as her future daughter in law. aww

yea, his mom calls me that, only after she's had a drink though lol Do any of us ever really know how our FH's families feel about us though? And if they didnt like us for whatever reason wouldnt they keep it to themselves?

both my parents love FH...they know he is smart and a wonderful person his parents are really nice people and love me soo much and i love them as well

My whole family loves him...aside from the fact that he's just a sarcastic ******* like the rest of us, i think they're convinced he must be someone pretty amazing to have been the only guy to ever make me want to settle down...as for his family, they're awesome and we all get along great...yayyyy for never having to be one of the couples with dreaded in-law issues
