New Tahiti Thread

Original post by lsiliato

Ok ladies I am ready to book my honeymoon and there are so many posts I am going crazy with confusion.

For the ladies who have already gone to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora.

What were your favorite hotels?
How long do you recommend staying in each place?
Where would you not go back to?
Anything you wish you would have done?

Thank you.

BTW- my thoughts and prayers go out to you as well...my mom is sick and going through Chemo. I know how it is. Keep a positive attitude and everything will work out! Good luck.

I believe Jess (CaMacho) booked thru Liberty Travel but found a better quote from someone else (maybe pacific for less)...she brought that quote to Liberty Travel and they were able to match it. So shop around.

If you tell us what you are looking to spend we could all help you with ideas on how to go and stay within your budget! Good Luck!

If we don't end up postponing the honeymoon....I LEAVE IN 26 days!!!

FH's dad is hanging in there so we'll see. I think it will be a last minute decision. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

We have a backup plan though to go to this nice place in Vermont for a few nights after the wedding in case we postpone Tahiti.....if we postpone...what do you girls think is the best month to go to Tahiti. I was going in their summer so it's the hottest in Nov and humid and could be rainy. I'm wondering if we should go in March if we have to postpone. I don't think I could wait that long though

Thanks. I am excited. PLEASE say some prayers though....FH's dad has cancer (as only diagnosed this year around Father's Day). We just found out yesterday it has spread into many other areas and the chemo he's been getting hasn't been doing a thing. They aren't sure if he'll make it to our wedding....42 days! If he does make it though which we pray he does - we will probably have to postpone the honeymoon which makes me so sad but obviously we will just go at a later time (thank god for trip insurance!). It's hard going thru all this during what is supposed to be such a happy time in our lives...I'm just so sad!!!

Girls I have to cancel our FP honeymoon...

I need

FH's dad is SOOOO bad....he's getting worse and worse each day now. I honestly don't even think he'll make it til our wedding. And if by some miracle he does - he won't even be able to come. He can no longer walk so getting him anywhere is very hard. Even if we were to get him there in a wheelchair - he just would not physically be able to do it b/c he is so exhausted - all he does is sleep at this point. It's very hard on FH and his family....I feel so bad you don't even know. There are no words to make them feel better. FH is SO sad...all he wanted was for his dad to make it to see us get married. Now if he does - he won't even be able to attend. He is at home in a hospital bed - he can't even leave the house at this point. Wedding is in
KandE917
Wedding Countdown
10 Days 22 Hours
22 Minutes 53 Seconds
PLEASE pray that he makes it until then. None of us can imagine if he were to die before our wedding...it would be SO hard!!!

Tahiti will have to wait but we are still so sad and bummed that we have to cancel it. It's just too far to go right now if anything were to happen. Thank goodness for trip insurance (he was not even diagnosed yet when we booked this trip!).

Anyone know if March is an ok month to travel to FP? That is when we are thinking of postponing to.

So we're now just going to go to this nice little resort and spa up in Vermont for a few days after the wedding so we are close to home....it's only 4 hours by car so we can get home fast if need be.
