New To LI Weddings

Just wanted to say hi to all brides to be. I have been actively reading the posts on this site and you all have been soooooo helpful.

Maybe you can help- for those who are making their own centerpieces- how/who will set them up between ceremony and reception?

Welcome!!! I am not doing my own CP's but check with the hall to see if there is anyone there who could do that for you. Or maybe if you ask a cousin or friend not in BP, but you want to have them do something special. Good luck!!

(I am just a post-crazy girl tonight) Welcome to the site that sucks me in everynight. Anyway, I am doing my own centerpieces, and asked the reception to set them up for me and they said yes, which was a huge weight off my shoulders!! I actually put off asking them for a month, bc I felt bad, like it wasnt their responsibilty.

Hi, Welcome, I'm new too.

Not just to the boards, but to planning in general.
I'm impressed that you are on ceneterpecies already. The hall probably can do it. it can't hurt to ask, Other wise ask them if soemone can coem in & do it & when. Maybe the signficant other of a bridal party member.
They may be able to slip in during the begining of the coctail hour if they are in separate rooms. I guess it depends on how many & how complicated too.

Thanks for the welcome and advice everyone. I am really not that far into planning yet but I am trying to think of less expensive but beautiful alternatives to flower centerpieces- as much as I love flowers they are so expensive. One florist quoted me $40 for just fish bowls with floating candles and a few rose petals- I am sure I can find the material and make those for far less. Anyway, now I am looking into candles in the center with rose petals on the tables...
