My engagement actually happened a couple months ago on June 12th. I thought we were going out to celebrate our anniversary which is June 24th however we decided to celebrate our anniversary a couple weeks early because we had busy weekends throughout the month of June. We started in Times Square watching West Side Story and then he brought be to a spa to get a facial and a massage. Afterward, we went to Ocean Grill and had some delicious seafood. I thought we were going to head back home afterward but he wanted to stop by On the Ave Hotel on the upper westside to go to the rooftop bar to grab drinks before heading back. However, instead of going to the top floor, we got off at the 2nd to last floor and walked to the door of a penthouse suite.
When I opened the door, there were rose petals and candles everywhere which lead to the balcony. I followed the rose petals and candles out to the balcony, and there was champagne for two with strawberries. I was completely in awe and crying (because I was so happy). He got down on one knee and the rest is history! Best day of my life so far (until the BIG DAY!)![]()
I'm booked in the garden room. I really fell in love with the ceremony area and the gardens are so pretty!
