Re: New to the board
On reception sites- just checked out where you were looking.... We almost booked in the city where FI and I live... I would try Waters Edge at East River Yacht Club (Bat Mitzvah there), Puck Building (Had prom there), St Regis (expensive, but can do an amazing small affair there), Burden Mansion on E. 92nd street, Yale Club, Columbia Club, Princeton Club.... Those are all so beautiful!!

Re: New to the board
Welcome!!! I got engaged in October and am still deciding on a date and site, but in the city I can recommend the Manhattan Penthouse (a loft on 5th ave and 14th street), the Boathouse in Central Park, and the faculty club (not really the name) of Columbia University. They vary in price and style, but I've been to great receptions at each. Good luck in your planning and welcome aboard!
