My name is Elizabeth and I am new to Long Island Weddings. I have heard so much about this site and I am so excited to get to know all of you! I am planning a wedding in the fall of 2010 not sure of date yet. My fiancee travels a lot so I'm pretty much solo with this wedding stuff. I don't have a budget yet but I'm looking for a catering hall for 200 people with a huge dance floor..we love to party lol Any suggestions?

For 200 people, you can look at Chateau Briand (a little bias, lol), Jericho Terrace, Fox Hollow, Westbury Manor and I know the girls will mention a bunch more - can't think of anymore at the moment.

def check out the Inn at New Hyde Park.. its a huge ballroom and nice size dance floor.. :)
I don't now what type of style yet...But I think I want to be the only bride in the building

Like I posted on your BHB thread, definitely check out the North Ritz Club. It's in Syosset, so north Nassau. One wedding at a time, huge ballroom, huge dance floor. Of course, I'm a little biased

you can see pics here. dance floor is big and i think they accommodate up to 300-350.
