New York Public Library

I just saw Sex and the City and how Carrie was going to get married at the New York Public library. I would love to have a wedding there, but let's face it i'm poor. Anyways does anyone know if you can take epics there and do they charge a fee..?

When I first got engaged, I bought the locations magazine and they had pics of weddings at New York public library and they were AMAZING!!!! dh thought i was crazy bc i said if i could i would do it there in a heartbeat.

There was an 08 bride who wanted to take e-pics there, and yes she called and you do have to get a permit.

yeah at first I was set on Gotham hall or capitale but then from family we heard complaints about the city MIL does alot of events for her company and had good connections at bridgewaters and got us a price for tribeca rooftop but yeah again there were complaints about the city

2010 bride here:

they are listed in the locations book & my FH thought it would be a great place. so my sister called to get info. first they didn't want to speak to her because they said they only deal with wedding coordinators. she was very forcefull with them & basically found out you pay just for there site. you have to bring in your own tables, charis, food, linens, etc, etc. needless to say we are not having our wedding there.

I need a drool emote! Gustavos (sp) was my fav!!! OMG!!!! It is sooooooo amazing but they quoted me for $350.00pp!!!!!!!!!!

I got complaints about the city as well... The Hudson Terrace was in our bugdet and the fam said no! LOL

Oooo I remember Gustavos, i went when it was a club but this was a long time ago. I also did see the pics they had of events and it is AMAZING. Yeah and in the city some places have crazy charges. Like capitale if you have your wedding there, you have to pay for the electric bill that night

Yes they let you take pics there but you have to get their permission!
