New York Traffic!

My wedding is July 3rd 2005 in New Rochelle. I live in Queens, right by the whitestone bridge. Anyhow, it was pointed out to me today that there maybe a tremendous amount of traffic on that day due to the holiday. All of my guests will have to go over the bridge and all of us new yorkers know what that is like on holidays. Any ideas, suggestions or advice? Or possibly some words to calm me down.

Also, I know the 1-95 North (which is one way you can go up to N. Rochelle if you'd take the Throggs Neck Br) had traffic jams this fall. They were doing construction. It may have ended now. I don't know since I don't travel that way when I drive to the Bronx from LI.
