I am newly engaged and this is my first post here. We are starting to look for RH's. We are on a really tight budget and am looking for a Sat afternoon Buffet reception for under $70. Was wondering if that was actually doable? We are think about Caffe on the Green, Roma View, or Riccardos by the Bridge. Does anyone have any experience with any of these halls? Any help would be great!

I haven't hear of those, but if you are having a sat afternoon buffet for purley finacial reasons, and you really want a night sit down dinner, try sunset harbour, I am getting married there and they are really affordable, and in your price range. FM me if you want details! And welcome to the boards, you will be addicted in no time!

Giorgio's does a brunch wedding for $55 or $65. You might want to look into it. It might just be o Sunday, but worth checking out, maybe they will do it on a sat.

welcome and congrats!! If Roma View is in Howard Beach I had my daughters communion there a few years back and it was really nice. We had a sit down dinner on a sat afternoon and it was pretty reasonable. Good Luck!!

welcome and congrats. Our wedding was at the Meadow Club in Sept-evening with sit down for $73 pp plus some other expenses. I imagine it will be a bit more in 2 years, but you are also looking do to a buffet. They are in Port Jeff stat, ny. FM if you need more info.

If you WANT a brinch wedding than great! But if you're only choosing that route bc you think it would be more affordable...look around. You will be surprised how many halls will work with your budget! $70 per person is ABSOLUTELY doable for a night sit down wedding. What if you did the Sunday of Labor day weekend? No one has work the next day but you will still get a Sunday night price?
Oh and this site is FILLED with ways to cut costs!
