Newbie here

Hello everyone!!

My fiancé (I just loveee calling him that ) and I were engaged in December, and after a few months of celebrating, we're finally starting the planning process. Ive been researching different venues, and stumbled upon this site, so now I'm even more excited to plan! So far the only thing we've set is a date- 10/12/14!! Im compiling a list of reception venues, and hoping to spend our weekends for the next month checking out our favorites.

DH loves The Thatched Cottage, but his family holds ALL of their events there, so I'm not sure I want to follow suit. And I just love The Water Mill so I'm dying to check it out!

Congrats and welcome to the boards! The Watermill has free showcases a lot, we LOVED their food and almost booked with them. Definitely check them out!

@ladygoodman- yay that's so exciting!! Have you booked all of your vendors yet? I feel like we should have started planning right after we got engaged lol. I think once the major vendors are booked, then I can breathe a sigh of relief lol

I gave my Fh a two week break and then we started. We have our venue, our photographer, dj, and we don't need a florist because centerpieces are included with our venue. I just need a videoographer and limos but I'm taking a little break before booking them since I have plenty time.

Congrats and welcome! I have a friend getting married 10.12.14 and I'm getting married 12.13.14... so i'm a big fan of the patterns and numbers ;)

I loved Watermill too, and the price was right. They give you a RIDICULOUS amount of food!!
