Newbie here! How hard would it be for me to have a summer 05 wedding? Is everything booked?
I just got engaged 12/24! My fiance wants to get married next week LOL but I told him we can get married before the next school year starts. I would really like to get married late June - Lat August. Any ideas if I can still book a place? Is it too late?
So far from the websites I like: East Wind Chateau La Mer Araina Waterfall Chateu Briand Crest Hollow
Does anyone know how much pp it would be? Which is the most expensive, which is the least?
Im looking for a place that has a good package deal... Im lazy LOL Im hoping not to spend more than $15,000 on a wedding. Is that possible here on Long Island?
Thanks in advance girls!! BTW - Heres some pics of my son & I and my soon to be husband! YAY!!!! BTW - we met on match.com!!!!!!!!!! :)

Hi congratulations! I would definitely check out chatiau lamer. I had my engagement party there. They were very reasonable and everything was fantastic. Ask to speak to Nick.

probably could book but 15,000 is pretty low for Eastwind esp in the summer. Country Gardens is the cheaper venue @ EW but they are for small parties.....i would call them. I know the Brentwood Country Club has package deals and a few other venues.....Timber Point Country Club also has reasonable prices and i think include centerpieces, its a really nice place too...
GOOD LUCK!!! AND WELCOME

I fell in love with the dome room at Jericho Terrace. I didnt want to have my wedding at the same place I had my engagement party. The cocktail hour would have been in the same room I had my E party in. But Chateau La Mer had excellent service.

Welcome and Congratulations!!
On LI it may be extremely tuff to have a wedding this summer and for 15k...although give a shot, maybe a Friday or Sunday afternoon wedding would work?

Congratulations!!! I think you can definitely pull it all together, but you have to move NOW!!! Look for your dress, book hall, photographer, music, etc ASAP. Also, if you are not set on a Sat night, you can definitely get a deal somewhere on a Fri night or Sat/Sun day. I'm getting married at Timber Point Country Club...very reasonable. It's in Great River (near East Islip). Also someone mentioned that Hamlet Willow Creek - it's supposed to be beautiful when it's done. And they are giving great rates now. Good luck, let us know how you do!!!

I'm getting married at Ariana Waterfall.....its a cute, cozy place and they have packages that include the reception, photography, limos, dj, videography and centerpieces.....it would definately fit in your budget....The only downfall is that there is no outdoor area for the reception.

Congratulations and happy planning!!! I am getting married at East Wind in November and we got a great deal...I know their prices are significantly higher in the summer months but you should definitely check them out anyway because maybe they are trying to get rid of dates that they still have available in the summer!

I know! Honestly - its the first place I looked at and my end up there b/c of their prices and it includes everything. Im thinking my party may be about 150.. I know they have deals for $900 for 100 people that includes almost everything LOL!! I wish it had an outdoor area though. Hows the parking? its not in a very nice area right?

if you're looking for a package deal, I have heard great things about Brentwood Country Club.
Try the smaller, lesser known places...Timber Point or West Sayville Country club, smithtown landing....they are part of lessings...great food, great service for the price

As far as parking at Ariana, there is a lot in the back and they also offer valet parking. It is on a pretty crappy street, but the place inside and outside is really nice. Go take a look at it

Hi, I also just got engaged, December 3rd 2004. And I am planning a August 2005 wedding. I actually just booked Chateau La Mer for the 6th of August (daytime) and the price was pretty reasonable only 67pp. I had also looked at the East Wind for a daytime wedding and it was 84pp. The other place I looked at was the Harbor Club which was 74pp. They were all really beautiful, but chateau was more convient and the price was the best! Good luck with what ever you pick!
