Check out the Riviera in Massapequa. It is reasonably priced and there is only 1 wedding at a time.
I agree and welcome and congrats!!!

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
welcome and congrats
i remember someone posting prices for Venetian yacht club. I remember it was about $115-120 per person, for a saturday july wedding.
From what i know crescent beach club is more expensive than venetian yacht club
you might also want to try bridgeview yacht club and chateau la mer. CLM has great prices, for a july wedding you can pay about $115 or under. Bridgeview also has great prices.

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
welcome and congrats!
everything is going to depend on the season, day of the week, day or night... summer was out of the question because my FH is always hot... lol we priced out may and oct 09
we went to crescent beach club (upwards of $180pp for a saturday night) i know a lot of brides love them there, but i had a difficult experience with one of the catering managers... land's end in sayville was very pretty, you can get married either in the gazebo or they will move everything down onto the 'beach' directly on the water. (upwards of $180pp) we went to gurney's in montauk- you can literally walk on the beach in front of the ocean which was beautiful (for may/oct it was $145pp) ALSO the coolest thing about it there was that for an extra $2K they will do a bonfire on the beach after party for a few hours! we chose atlantica in westhampton beach- right on the ocean, love it there and you have so many options!!! FM me if you want more details! Good luck!

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
congrats and welcome to LIW!
are you flexible on the day? we wanted a sunday and started planning 15 months in advance, and were able to get all of the vendors we wanted. (we booked all of our big vendors by the 1 year mark)
however, if you want a saturday night i think things book up fast. not trying to pressure you, but if theres a particular date you have in mind you should start looking at all kinds of vendors, not just your hall

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
welcome and congrats! yes, this website is very addicting, but also very helpful. i would start looking ASAP if you want next summer. My friend went looking at places in May for summer 09 and they only had 1 saturday left, which she booked. you might have to be flexible if you really want summer.

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
I am getting married at the Crescent. I don't know what you consider expensive. It is one of the more expensive places but I didn't care. I love that place.

Re: Newly Engaged!!!
Congratulations!! I am in the same boat as you. I am newly engaged and looking for a place on the water as well. If you are having a small guest amt., I reccommend The Old Field Club. I wanted it there, but it was too small for my amt....
