I just recently got engaged, and am new to the site. I had planned on waiting a bit before looking at venues, however my fiance and I are thinking of getting married in March of 2013 so I've been told I need to start looking. After calling some places and hearing that they are getting very booked up for next March, I can def see why people told me to get moving.
These are the places I have appointments at already. I would love any suggestions as to more places to look at. We want a Saturday night, and are having about 200 people. Want to keep it around $125pp or less. I would prefer places that are only one wedding at a time.
I have appointments coming up at:
Flowerfield Bourne Mansion Lombardi's on the Sound Inn at New Hyde Park Sand Castle Lands End The Carltun Woodlands Carlyle on the Green Harbor Links
Any suggestions on further venues to check out would def be appreciated. Thanks ladies!

Re: Newly Engaged
It sounds like you have a really vast array of places on your list, so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for other than one wedding at a time and in your price point.
My venue, The WaterView Club, apparently holds up to 300 people, but in my opinion it is on the smaller side, and you would probably need a bigger hall than that. On the positive side, it is right on the water (on the long island sound) and their prices range from $90-$120 on a Saturday night in the summer, so you would get a really intimate setting with great prices for such a big party. (Plus of course one wedding at a time)
Right up the road in Bayville is the Crescent Beach Club. I did not visit them, but if you're interested in a beach wedding they do both the wedding and the cocktail hour right on the water which is really great, and they also only do one wedding at a time.
I have other info on beach venues in the Hamptons, but they are all $150 pp and up, and that was out of my budget and what seems to be yours as well. I hope this helped at least a little! :)

Re: Newly Engaged
Thank you!!! I don't really have a set type of venue that we're looking for (which explains why my list is all over the place, lol)- So far I really like the look of Sand Castle based on pictures I've seen.

Re: Newly Engaged
congrats!
East Wind would be in your price range, and although they do more then one wedding at a time, they are all in separate buildings so it is just like you are alone.:)

The Hamlet Golf and Country Club. I didn't book there but I looked and it was my second choice.

thanks! congrats to you too!! I hadn't planned on starting this earlier, but a lot of places are getting booked up for March of 2013 already so I got moving. I see you are looking at March of 2013 as well-- I would def encourage you to start looking soon! The date I wanted is already filled at a lot of venues. One venue I was at today the girl told me that usually March isn't booked up by now- she said she thinks its because the weather has been so nice this March that its going quickly.
