Newly engaged looking for RH

I recently got engaged and have been on the hunt for a reception hall. I went to look at a number of places and really only fell in love with The Garden City Hotel.
I am having trouble finding any real reviews for the Hotel as a reception site although found plenty as the place to stay for wedding night. Can anyone help?
Some specifics about the wedding are
June-July 2006
200-250 guests -so we would be using the Grand Ballroom

its alittle over budget
but I loved the look and know the food is amazing at the restaurant.

I have never been to a function at the Garden City Hotel but I wanted to say Welcome and congratulations!

my sister is a make up artist and she did a wedding there and said it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you...my friends were telling me how great this site is and I already feel the stress level decreasing with the ability to chat about the wedding to people who aren't sick of hearing about my wedding questions yet!!

I'm sorry, I don't know any thing about the Garden City hotel but I just wanted to welcome you as well. You are going to find this site to be so much fun. These LI Gals are great....helpful, informative and always lending a listening ear to all of the questions you have. I have been on these chats for about two weeks now and I'm hooked!! One of my coworkers went to a wedding there last weekend and she said it was amazing. She raved about the food and the abundance of alcohol. She said it was a gorgeous site for a wedding.
