I found out from a post on here, actually. It could have been from you, I don't remember. But I ran home to DH and said OMG guess who lives here? Then I said don't get any ideas. Not that he would...she's pretty skanky.

SO you lived right near her?? WHat was she like?

The Avalon Complexes are great. I have 2 friends that live in separate apts at the one in Smithtown. But they are alittle pricy I think they start at 1700. But its beautiful and all apts include washer and dryer in the apt!!!! BIG BONUS
The Fairfield in Happauge is not so nice just so you know! A friend just moved out of there, he said the cops were coming by regularly for various disputes! and His apt bldg was starting to fall apart and no one ever came to fix it!

I live at the Alexan Brookhaven in Bellport. DH used to live in Spruce Pond and we were wait listed for over 1 year at saddlerock before we found this place and it is waaaaaay nicer than the other two! The website, I think is www.alexanapts.com. Rent is not dirt cheap, but You definitely get more for your $ with many less restrictions and more amenities. They are all townhouses, so no noisy neighbors upstairs like at Spruce and Saddlerock!

If you are looking to spend a little more, I would definitely check out the Fairfield complexes. I am in the townhouse community in Port Jeff Vlg. I LOVE it!! We have a 2 story town house, loft, bedroom, two full bathrooms, etc. We are an end unit so we pay a bit more but if you go for an inner unit, you can get it for in the $1700's. Definitely worth it. Plus, they run specials all the time if there are multiple vacancies. We got a month's free rent plus a free storage unit for the year when we moved in. We looked at Avalon in Smithtown but they wouldn't let us see the apartment before we moved in. They only let us see a model which was a two bedroom, lowerlevel one and we were interested in the one bedroom + loft upper unit. I did not feel comfortable renting something without seeing it first. DH's friend lived there a while back and loved it though. I also heard Alexan Brookhaven is nice - Brand new and cheaper than most new-ish complexes.

My friends girlfriend lives in IslandView in Farmingville. Exit 52A off Sunrise hwy.

She has a 2nd floor apartment with a master bedroom, extra room where she puts her computer, a master bathroom, then a second bedroom, a 2nd bathroom with tub shower, washer and dryer, nice size living room, dining room, cable, newer appliances, has use of the club house with athletic club and outdoor pool all for $1000 a month.
