NicoleD - Question...
Hi- A while back, you had posted regarding Burtons Florist v. Colonial. I want to start calling florists, and was wondering if you made a final decision yet - and if so, did you choose either of these florists and why. If you want to email me direct, my email is: [email protected] I was hoping to get your feedback, because those are the 2 florists I want to check out asap. :)Thanks so much!!!

I Chose Colonial...(long)
Burton's was a bit cheaper but they told me I couldn't see the arrangement until the weekend of the wedding (I am getting mini cala lilies). I didn't like not knowing what the arrangements would look like. The guy I met with was also very impersonal. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. They do have beautiful flowers though (rose bouquets). Colonial actually made me a centerpiece while I was there. Irene was GREAT!!! Ask for her. Very talented and artistic. She worked w/ me to get to what I finally loved. I got a better price from Burton's. So a few days after I met w/ Colonial, I called and told them that I loved their work, but they were a little more expensive than others. I asked how I could lower the price without switching flowers...the owner agreed to give me a break if I paid cash. So, I got the flowers for $200 over Burton's. I am very happy about my decision. Definitely meet w/ both though. If you'd like more info, email me. [email protected]

LisaT -Flowers Michele?
Their prices were very similiar. I think they were slightly higher but John (Flowers Michele) threw in a bunch of stuff that Mike had not. I just got a much better vibe from John and he's been great to work with. I definitely recommend you meet with him. I saw my centerpiece last month and loved it! They adverstise on liweddings or you can visit their website: flowermichele.com good luck!

I fixed my profile, Nicole!
I had written a vendor review on them, too! Just remembered. I gave them a 9. Let me know if you have any questions. :) P.S. We paid cash, too. ;)

Thanks for all the information!! and...
I met with both Colonial and Burton's today...both were equally kind to me, and both extremely helpful in their own way. I have to say that Burton's was significantly less, and offered more in terms of bridesmaid calla lillies...I have a huge bridal party, and he is offering more per girl, for less. My FH and I will be discussing it tonight. Thanks again for everything and all the advice.
