Night before wedding....

Night before wedding....

Are you planning on staying with your sig. other the night before? My mom seems to think me staying in our house with him the night before is bad luck. I told her if we don't make it b/c we saw each other the night before than we have serious issues lmao. I would be gone before he even woke up so I don't see the problem.

I agree with your mom. It isn't necessary but it is a nice tradition. FH won't see me until I walk down the aisle.
I am dropping FH off at his brothers the night before and probably having my sister and niece stay with me that night. We are getting ready at our place and need to start at 8am.

I'm staying at my parents house, it will just be easier with getting ready. I also want some alone time with my sister and mom.

I think I will be staying at my parents house the night before. It will be nice to have one more night with them and my sister at their house before I am a married woman!

I will be staying at my parents house the night before. I'm getting ready there, and I think it adds to the excitement to spend that night apart. But, if you think you would be more comfortable in your own bed, then stay with him. I think the most important thing is not to have any added stress the night before.

we stayed in the same hotel, separate rooms. i stayed with one of my BM, and he stayed with his 2 brothers. we did see each other the night before though.. he and the groomsmen were drinking in one of the rooms, and we stopped by for a bit. other than that, we did not see each other till the ceremony the next day.

Its not bad luck. People still get divorced regardless of that. LOL. I think its just a tradition thing but its 2013 and if you don't follow tradition its fine. I don't see the big deal. FH and I have been together for 8 yrs and lived together for 2 yrs. If I want to sleep with him the night before, I will. It won't change our marriage. It's your personal decision.

While I am staying at my parents it's not because of superstition, lol! We are also doing a first look instead of him seeing me for the first time at the ceremony!

We will be staying in our apartment together the night before. I see no reason not to. We're getting ready at our RH and were doing a reveal before the ceremony anyway because I want to enjoy our cocktail hour.

I'm staying at the hotel with my fam and he will be staying at his home with his family. Outside of the rehearsal, I don't think I even.want to see him for a couple of days before the wedding! All that stress is a sure trigger for some stupid argument over something!

I am staying at the hotel with my family. He will be staying at his parents house. Not because of any superstition, just because I wanted to spend a last night with my family and this works out easier for getting ready purposes the next day. I say do whatever you want. You are right some old superstition is not whats going to make or break your marriage.

I will be staying in a hotel room the night before. FH will either be staying home or over at his BM house which is where he will likely be getting ready. This isn't because of tradition or superstitions... just works out for the best.

It's a nice tradition, but personally I don't feel attached to it and I wouldn't mind not following it or if others didn't follow it.... I'm already breaking the tradition of not seeing each other until I walk down the aisle because we are getting married at the RH and doing majority of pictures before the ceremony. That is supposed to be 'bad luck' too and a lot of people started doing that, so I think it's fine!

im not a superstitious person, but i do like the idea of staying in different places the night before the wedding to build up the suspense! FH and I don't live on LI anymore so we will both be staying at our parents houses the night before

Now that I'm married I have to say its nice not seeing him bc when you walk to him in your wedding dress for the first time it's the best feeling ever!!!! Bc you save him from seeing your dress, veil and when he sees you he is speechless
