Pathfinder!!! I'm biased, though- I've had one for almost a year and I love it!

If you haven't already, you should check out kbb.com, edmunds.com, epinions.com and, if you have a membership, consumer reports. You can check out the differences and see what's right for you. JMO, they're both good cars, but the Pathfinder was the right one for us.

I love my Pathfinder. It's a great SUV. I can't compare it to the Pilot since I've never owned a Pilot but I can say that you'd be very happy with a Pathfinder.

Sorry Nissan Owners, but the Honda Pilot is a much better truck. You actually cannot even compare it to the Pathfinder....Its a totally different driving experience.

I agree with Scott - I test drove the Pilot last week and LOVED it. Plus Honda service is amazing and you can't beat the resale value of a Honda.

Unfortunately with a baby on the way and needing to cut costs we couldn't swing the payments on it. We ended up with a 2003 GMC Envoy which drove fairly similar to the Pilot.

I still miss my sport coupe accord though.....

I too have to agree with Scott, every Nissan I have owned has had some sort of transmission trouble down the line.

Nissans are known for having transmission problems. Most people that lease them will never notice these problems because they usually occur after 50,000 miles.

There are plenty of other trucks out there that I could compare with the Pilot and unbelievable as it is I would say the GMC Enjoy. I know, you are going to say that there is no way an american truck can compare with the quality of a Japanese built Honda truck...Well my advice to you is to go to the dealer and take the Envoy for a Spin. Out of the two trucks, I would go with the Envoy. Danielle's sister has had one for 2 years now and she loves it. They havent had one problem with it. I dont know about the gas mileage, but I do know that the build quality is excellent, the acceleration is excellent, and it is very comfortable. She also has the third row seating which comes in very handy....In the regular back seat she has 3 baby seats.....

We have an '04 Envoy and really the only complaints I have with it is that the steering is numb, for lack of a better term, and takes a little getting used to, and the braking could be better, IMO.

Kriss - OMG - I feel the SAME way about the braking on my Envoy also!!!!!!! My husband thinks I'm nuts when I say that the brakes are hard to get used to - then he drove it and said yeah - much different than your honda!!!!!!

I do love the Envoy though - great pickup, nice ride and roomy!

Vote here for the Pilot. Love ours! Best vehicle I've ever owned. I still can't believe the fist scheduled maintenance is 105,000 miles. What do they do at Honda service, oil changes?

FH and I even rented another Envoy while his car was in the shop to see if it was an 'Envoy thing' or if it was just us.... we thought the one we rented was better but when we took the Envoy to get checked, everything was fine. Time will tell I guess.

Re: Nissan Pathfinder or Honda Pilot?

I just bought the Toyota Highlander which is in the same class of vehicle. I felt it drove much nicer than the Pathfinder or the Pilot, drives more like a car which is what I was used to driving. You will get the best deal with Nissan, then Toyota, and last Honda. I couldn't haggle at all with the price of the Honda. I would have chosen the Pathfinder over the Pilot if I didn't get the Highlander. Good Luck.
