No contact with vendors?

I was just wondering how often-and how much-you girls were in contact with your vendors after the contracts were signed and deposits paid? I haven't spoken to my photog/video since I left the deposit back in Jan, same with the band....is that normal? Reading your posts, it just seems like other brides are in regular correspondence with their vendors....I'll be suprised if mine know who I even am! Am I missing something?

I haven't had any contact with the band or photographer since I signed the contract. I've spoken with the reception hall and that's about it (well, other than limos but, we only did those last week).

i think you're okay. most vendors really don't need to speak with you under just a few months (1-3) before your wedding. i booked most of my vendors last year---and don't hear much of anything from them! (of course it's probably cause i'm getting married in 2007) i booked my officiant in dec. 05--and she let me know that she'll get in contact with me Nov. 06---and probably not much between! when you book early--it happens!

I've only had contact with my vendors if I reached out to ask them a question. I think once I get closer to the date that will change.

Unless you have a question, there really is no need for contact if the contract is already signed and agreed to. The month before the wedding I met with most of my vendors to go over everything but that is the only contact I really had with them.

I didn't start having contact with my vendors until about 2 1/2 months before the wedding

I routinely made contact in person whether it was to ask a question or to make a payment. i felt better knowing that my vendors knew me by face instead of just a name on my contract!!

I don't plan on contacting them until necessary right before the wedding, I dont want to be annoying!

Are they usually the ones who call you when the time comes or do you call them?

Limited contact here as well. I've just not needed to be in constant contact with everyone because I'd never move on to the next vendor if I did!!

I had no contact with my vendors after we signed the contracts almost 6 months ago. However, now that my wedding is about 2 months away I am starting to hear from everyone because we need to make all the final decisions.
