How did you search? Ive tried AA site, expedia, and priceline and they all connect in San Juan. We found out a friend has a hookup for a hotel out there and want to book for March 6th!

Re: No direct flights to St. Lucia??
the direct flights only go into the bigger airport (UVF)
Edit: (from Travelocity)
Departing Flight for Thu, Mar 6 American Airlines Flight 2009 10:15am New York, NY (JFK) 3:50pm St Lucia, Saint Lucia (UVF) 4hrs 35min - Nonstop
Oops, you get in at 3:50 but that's the direct flight in from NY

there are direct flights but i'm pretty sure they are a lot more expensive than if you have a layover.

Just an FYI I paid about $1300 for two round trip tickets. My brother works for AA so hopefully he will upgrade us to first class if there are seats available.

Re: No direct flights to St. Lucia??
I think American Airlines has a direct flight. We went with Air Jamaica b/c it was a little cheaper, but not direct. But it's a short layover. We got tickets throught our travel agent, MAS travel.

I was told to avoid Air Jamaica because apparently they had a lot of issues with cancelling flights last minute and screwing people over. AA does direct flights there too so there are other options

In this case, its worth spending the tiny bit more and going with another airline. I flew them once and that is my last.
