Oh I was looking into Castries! But I think that airport is closer to our resort! Im so confused.

There are 2 airports

Big Airport (UVF)
- about 90 min from the resorts which means either a long bus ride or a helicopter ride
- big planes
- direct flights and connecting flights

Small Airport (Castries?)
- I think it's about 25 min away from the resorts
- only connecting flights
- connection is on a tiny tiny plane

We opted for the direct flight because I try to take direct flights whenever possible and didn't want to risk delays or missed layovers on our way to our honeymoon. I'm also really scared of the tiny planes. it's up to you though! they each have their pros and cons

Edit: I don't really mind the bus ride, I'll treat it as a bus tour excursion I'm more scared of a helicopter/small plane

oh that might be the otherairport.

there is one closer but i think that there are no direct flights to it.. i think people take the helicopter to it. because from the other airport to the hotel is a long drive.. but i may be wrong on the direct flight thing

One is 90 minutes away and the other is 60 minutes from the resort I am staying at. I hear the taxi ride can be a little crappy. I am going to take a helicopter to my resort. It's only 150 or so a person.

How long is the ride by helicopter? I'm really scared of the idea of being in a helicopter but if it really makes it much shorter I might consider it. I really dont mind the bus ride.

DO you know how long the helicopter ride is? I think I would hyperventilate on a helicopter lol

Helicopters aren't bad at all. Once you get use to the noise, it's an amazing experience. I was told around 20 minutes. The only problem is there is a 4 person minimum. so if there aren't another two people, you will have to pay for all 4 seats or take a taxi. I decided I will pay for all 4 if I have to. FH will kill me but oh well.
