we dont have that kind of money.. we live together and pay enough bills
some people think im crazy..but i dont think i need one
ill just get wedding bands instead

I wear my grandmother's , it fits on my middle finger & I will not re-set it, altho I was on the fence for a while I decided I 'm not changing it!

I don't think rings are that important..afterall its not all that matters..what matters is you love your fh and you two are getting married!

I agree... I remember a couple of years ago they were talking about this on Z100.. A lot of brides are opting for gifts instead..like an ipod or a vacation. Its up to you.. I think if you dont have the money.. you are being very understanding as to not wanting one.

couldnt have said it better myself.... i think you should do what makes you both happy. i think a ring is just a symbol. and im greatful that FH was able to get one for me but i told him from the start if he couldnt afford it then i wouldnt mind not having one!

Fh has proposed to me before but he didn't have a ring. I thought he was joking and didn't take him seriously. since you already live with him for a while now, maybe it doeasn't matter if you have a ring or not.
I don't see me telling people I'm engaged without a ring to show. It doesn't have to be the biggest rock, but I need something to show. thats just me.

I love my ring and especially when I first got engaged I'd look at it and think WOW! I think it's a wonderful reminder of FH and symbolic but that's me! The wedding band however is symbolic for neverending. That's the most important part!!!

i think that you made a chioce that was best for you and FH.. in reality.. what is the ring... your love for each other and future together is more meaningful then having a ring on yout finger...
