No kids at the wedding kids @ the engagement party?
We are planning our engagement party – its going to be a Sunday lunch ….were not having any Kids at the wedding – But I am not sure if they should be at the engagement party …What should I do? ….and if this makes any difference it would be about 15 kids that range from 8 mts. to 13 yrs.

For a Sunday lunch, I would invite the kids, especially if they are family.
I don't think I would invite non-family kids though.

I didn't invite kids to the wedding, so I didn't want their parents to be under the assumption that since they were invited to the engagement party they would invited to the wedding. I went no kids for everything so their would not be any assumptions and my life would be easier come invite time to the wedding

The youngest kid I am having at my E-Party is my 4 yr old nephew. There are other 'kids' ages 14-19, but none younger.

I am not having kids at my wedding so I am not inviting them to my engagement party even though it will be during the day.
If people have a problem with that then its too bad and that's the way it has to be.

We had about 10 kids at our Eparty (Saturday afternoon), but only 3 of them are invited to the wedding (the 3 that are in the bridal party). We have found that everybody assumes that their kids will not be invited to the wedding b/c it is at night- and they are correct. We've only had one problem with FH's cousin thinking her son is invited- but that has been going on from before our Eparty- and more likely that not she was going to be a pain in the you know what no matter what I do.
If you don't want to run into a problem, you should just talk to the parents- tell them that you're not planning on having kids at the wedding, but you'd still like it if the kids would go to your eparty. They'll probably be happy that you're being upfront (so they don't have to wonder), and happy that they won't need 2 days of babysitting
