No responses...

Seriously, no one is coming to our wedding. We only have 56 yes' and we are 2 weeks away from the cut off date. And people that we are close to like co-workers and college friends are not coming because it is too much money to go. Meanwhile we went to their weddings and gave nice gifts. I mean seriously. This makes us feel like no one cares about us and no one is happy for us. We are not going to make our minimum even.

We really don't know why this is happening or what is going on. Or why no one wants to be there for us

Awww... don't beat yourself up. You still have two weeks to get responses! With the holidays, people may have just forgotten to send them out..I know alot of girls are saying that on here. We all picked a lovely time to have a wedding with the economy the way it is... but they should still be going. JMO. I would go to a wedding to someone I was close with no matter what the economy was like. Hang in there...start calling them!! lol

i'm sure things will work out but it may not be that they're not happy for you. maybe it's the economy and they can't afford to go.

Don't worry! Probably after the Holidays people will start RSVP-ing.

YOu still have 2 weeks. Make sure you call people that did not respond. Do you have a B list? Don't stress everything will work out.

Re: No responses...

don't worry, many people send responses at the last minute which is annoying and it's xmas time so some might have even forgotten which is even more annoying.

Hang in there, enjoy the holidays and after ur cut off date if ur still missing alot, start making calls....2 weeks is still a long time

Thats just f-ed up that you can go to their weddings and give a gift but they cant reciprocate? is it our fault that we just happened to plan weddings right when the economy was at a low???? How far past your RSVP date are you? I'd be calling people asap ... As for as hearing out their side, it is around the holidays and people are always super busy, shopping cookin etc that it can be easy to forget an rsvp ... I'd call and ask nicely... 'hey just wanted to wish you a merry xmas, etc ... by the way, did you get our invite? are you coming? I woulda sent our xmas cards and included a little note LOL

AWW!!! It will work out...I think the economy is seriously effecting everyone BUT regardless does not mean that they can't attend your wedding. They love you!!! Maybe they feel embarrassed if they do come and don't bring a big envelope

First of all I am sorry about this.

I agree it is probabbly the holidays. People are so busy this time of year. and I am sure that people will respond very soon.

You will get more yesses, it is the holidays. People are focused on that right now, and the mail is crazy.
As for the economy, I think that is ridiculous. I'd rather people come and not give a gift. You are losing money if you don't make your minimum.

Don't stress yet - you still have 2 weeks left. I know I am guilty of rsvp-ing last minute - especially if I think that the people know I'll be there...it's awful and it's something that I vow never to do again.....

I think we expect that once we send those puppies out that people who send it back asap bc our weddings are just THAT important to everyone else... in reality, do we feel that way about others weddings? prob not... for the last 2 weddings i went to, 1 i rsvped on time but towards the end of the deadline bc it was a friends wedding (people who we see once in a blue moon) and wanted to make sure our other friends were attending as well... and the other rsvp for for my cousin who i responded the day after receiving it bc duh, it was family, of course we were going... why wait till the last min and being a fellow bride, we want to see those rsvp's rollin in quickly which less stress in the end...

Aww dont worry too much about it. Unfortunately you will get most of your responses the week of your deadline and the week after. (I know this happened to alot of us 08'ers).
