Awww don't worry. You still have 2wks to go i'm sure you will get them soon. Remember with the holidays the mail tends to go a little slower than usual anyway. My response date was for 12/6/08 and up to today i just got another response in the mail and today is 12/22/09 so some ppl just procrastinate and others just have no consideration. Which ever it is, if you don't have your responses in the next 2 weeks, start making those phone calls.

don't worry, many people send responses at the last minute which is annoying and it's xmas time so some might have even forgotten which is even more annoying.
Hang in there, enjoy the holidays and after ur cut off date if ur still missing alot, start making calls....2 weeks is still a long time
ITA!! hang in there!

Re: No responses...
Awww I'm so sorry to hear that sweetie!!! I wish I could give you a hug!! Don't be down. I've come to realize how hard weddings are because you really realize who are your real friends during them. It's tough, but try to look at the bright side: the room will be filled w/ppl who really love and care for you. Just tell the ppl who matter to you if they can't afford a gift that you'd rather them be ther still. At least you'll meet your minimum, and maybe they'll send you a gift later when they have more money. And if not, at least you'll have the pleasure of their presence on that day. If the don't come, then f*** um! You deserve better than that!!

Maybe people are consumed by the holidays or prob lazy but I'm sure responses will start to pour in after the holidays. And if you don't hear from them by the rsvp date, then call them up. Unfortunately, some people will assume that you know they're coming and don't feel the need to send the rsvp.

Thats so true, Some people asked me 'do i need to rsvp when you send your invites because you know im coming'. Some people dont realize that you NEED to rsvp. once the holidays are over you will get it, plus mail could be slow.

Don't panic! When we had out E party (which I know is so not important compared to the wedding) we had almost half of our guests RSVP on the DAY that was the cut off...people are slackers and with the holidays they may be putting it off until last minute!

Re: No responses...
Dont get upset sweetie. THe holidays must have everyone super busy right now. Once those blow over, the responses will come pooring in. Also, for those who can't come, money is tight for everyone now. Making the trip up to NY may not be what people can afford now, even if you were able to when they were getting married.
The responses will come pouring in after the holidays, your wedding will be beautiful. Don't get stressed! Enjoy the holidays

Re: No responses...
Try not to get too stressed out over this. I'll give you my for example. We invited 288 people and we JUST met our minimum which was 190 people. You WILL get alot of people who say no. And these will be people that baffle you. You learn alot in the wedding process, you really learn who your 'real' friends and family are and who cares about you and who doesn't. I know it may be harsh to say, but, it's the truth. I've learn to think 'the hell with these people'. They are not going to make or break my wedding. You know that with 190 people coming to my wedding, only 2 tables are composed of my immediate family members? That is completely pathetic. The majority of them decided to not even respond. I have since decided that these people aren't worthy of sharing in my happiness. The point I'm trying to get at here is: DON'T STRESS YOURSELF OUT! It's not worth it. You're going to have an amazing day regardless because it's going to be you, your FH and the people that matter most to you and that's all that matters.

Re: No responses...
that is upsetting, but it is the holidays.. that was my first reaction when i read your post. people may be busy shopping etc and forgot to put it in the mail. i would call/email if you haven't received any more responses... just a friendly reminder. if you are worried about not making your minimum anyway, i would just tell the people who said they can't afford it not to worry about the money... their presence can be their present to you!

Don't worry about it. People always wait till the last min to send back responses. And some never send them back and you have to start with the phone calls. Don't worry. What alot of 08 girls did was they made a LIW table and girls from here went so they could make there min. So if it comes down to it. You can do that. Don't stress over it!
I agree...some ppl think of a due date as the day to send it out and the bottom line is that people do not always RSVP at all...a week after your due date, start calling (or have someone call for you!) to find out. We didnt' make our mininum (dont' forget to include you and FH!) and many RHS throw something in to make up for it in that case. YOu can also count your vendors towards your mininum, and have a LIW table!! (I wish we had had a LIW table, that wouldv'e been so much fun!!!!)
