i figured that would be a good choice for our italian families! otherwise, i would have added things that guests were already getting in the CH... and it just didnt make sense to me...

oh, and having the 2 together, made more time for intermezzo... yummmm ... hopefully guests know what that is lol

I would rather eat fresh mozzarella over salad any day

that is your salad. tomato & fresh mozzarella is considered a salad..its just might not be a traditional salad. Most people today opt for the duet so that people can have more time to dance.

never knew that... thanks... you def made me feel a whole lot better... FH looked at me and was like 'ummm we're not having salad at our wedding????'

I was thinking about not having a salad and doing something else.. but we are old school Italians and I basically got ripped a new one by my family for even thinking about not having one! You know, for us it has to be pasta and salad!

edt to add: the dish that is on the table when guests sits doing is mozzarella and tomatoes, then pasta, then salad

FH doesn't even like tomato and he eats mozz and tomato! Great choice!

I was thinking about not having a salad and doing something else.. but we are old school Italians and I basically got ripped a new one by my family for even thinking about not having one! You know, for us it has to be pasta and salad!

yeah i know all too well... FH is full italian and looked at me like i committed a murder haha...

we are having a pasta station in CH so i def knew we didnt need more during dinner... as much as i love penne ala vodka, we are skipping it

Anyone here not having salad on the menu? Does that seem strange? We opted to have an appetizer duet of fresh mozzarella w/ peppers, tomatoes, etc instead of a separate app and salad

i am doing the same think along with a pasta - it will be on a bed of greens so there is the salad

fh and i both don't eat salad so i wanted something else

you get more than we get then!! you def must be at a true italian hall lol our menu was a little diff... it was fruit or pasta for app and then a salad and then entrees

our CH menu includes a pasta station or a wok station... i didnt think our fam's would appreciate the wok station as much as the pasta LOL

we had a salad/app. combo. just like yours but with fresh salad greens.

ETA: I don't think it's weird at all. They'll get enough salad-y type stuff at CH.

Same here! Gives us more time for dancing by combining a course :)

we arent having a salad and are doing the duet instead. By the time people get to the reception after the masses of food at the CH i doubt anyone will notice or mind not having one.

i just really wanted the onion waffle anyways
but i agree mozzerella and tomatoe is also a salad, id also much rather have that/
