No Shot Policy!

Does your hall have this policy?
And if so do you have a problem with this?

I don't know........I didn't think to ask.....-
I guess it SEEMS a tad bit rude. - but it COULD end up being a good thing. - At least i KNOW it would be a good thing @ my wedding w/ our crew !! - Free shots @ the bar could get ugly !!

Our hall doesn't have this policy. I find nothing wrong with it. Our hall has a no beer bottle policy. Thay bothers me a little bit.

Villa is bottled beer, just poured into a glass. Nothing wrong with that, would you want to see people walking around with bottles like it's a bar?

I know its bottle beer. I'm just use to going to weddings that let you walk around with the bottles. Its not even an issue with us. Personally i don't want people dropping bottles all over the place, and making a mess.

That was my thought also.

yeah, i'm not a big fan of beer bottles at formal affairs - i have no idea if our place has a shot policy, don't think it would be an issue with our crowd though...

Re: No Shot Policy!

the way our hall explained it was this: Yuo can have a shot, but it cannot be a pure shot of alcohol.....so...You have to have it on an ice cube!

Re: No Shot Policy!

oh crap! one more problem!

(with regard to beer bottles, I MADE my hall write in my contract that they would not serve any beer bottles- only beer in a glass. I feel strongly about this because in my mom's wedding photos, there are beer bottles all over the tables and it looks horrible)

I hope mine has this policy.

It isn't a frat party or the prom (though my FH friends from business school may think so). I will probably ask them NOT to give out shots.

I don't think I've ever beento a wedding where I didn't do at least one shot. I hope that's not the policy of my hall. If so, they're going to have to rewrite that policy for my wedding!

Re: No Shot Policy!

I don't think mine has this policy, since they offered us Jello shots as an option! We opted not to do this, since we didn't think it would look particularly classy. I'd prefer if people didn't do shots at our wedding..I don't think it looks very elegant.

i hope mine doesn't have this policy and if they do they better make an exception for the bride and her family. since my brother turned 21 we have done a 'family shot' at every wedding we have gone to and i can't imagine not doing one at my own.

some places didn't have shot glasses, but just poured them into regular glasses.

The Fox Hollow does not have this policy. I did plenty of shots at my brother's wedding there.

Mine has the no shot policy, as well as the no beer bottle policy. Both fine by me, I'd rather it doesn't look like a frat party...

Re: No Shot Policy!

me and fi are shot people, but we have a lot of people (wp) that will be a mess if they are doing shots all night. we are thinking of having shots but if people start to get sloppy have them stop serving shots
anyway fi and i have done shots at weddings when they did not have them. people will just ask for it as a drink and do it that way . you don't need a shot glass to do shots.
