Non Floral Centerpieces

Is anyone not having flowers for their centerpieces? If so, what are you doing? I am looking for something 'different'...

I am trying to do feather centerpieces but I saw some cool ideas using ice sculptures.

Have you thought of doing a candle garden? You can take a mirrored plate and place different size pillar candles on it (4 or 5 of them for the best effect)...and surround it with rose petals. Comes out very pretty and elegant. You can usually get the mirrors cheap at Michael's and the candles, wherever you can find a sale!

Like Tara, I won't be doing floral centerpieces.. I will be doing feather centerpieces...

The candle garden was my original thought however my centerpieces will be floating candle bowls with glass stones & a lighthouse sitting on top of a clear glass dish with floating seashell shaped candles burning. I love lighthouses & my theme has turned into a lighthouse/seashell theme

a wedding i went to 2 weeks ago also had different sized pillar candles surrounded by flowers. really pretty!

Marcella I went today to a fabric store and it was too transparent so i am not sure I am still working on it but I am getting a little frustrated now that maybe this wont work.

Topiaries are different although they are still flowers
