i asked this question in one of the deleted threads...dont care to talk about that bc i have no involvement and not getting in the middle
BUT we're not allowed to use non-liw vendors in our reviews? many of you saw this and others asked the same thing. I dont think this is true i am asking bc a couple of my vendors are non-liw vendors...i know starlight is not a liw vendor and ive seen their reviews and claudia and maureen pedala are not liw vendors and ive seen girls write their reviews
PLEASE dont continue the drama in this thread or talk about that particular situation. I just want to get an answer and if its brought up in here then it will get quickly deleted like the other 2 threads.
Is there any guideline about which vendors we can review? i really dont think there is any

My band is NOT an LIW vendor and I've read 3 reviews w/them in it. So I think its ok.

You can write a review on any vendor, doesn't have to be a LIW vendor.

the rules are short and sweet, no where does it mention giving props to vendors not endorsed by this site.
Exposing other vendors on this site will only give LIW more exposure, especially if/when someone does a web search that leads to this site.
It seems like a GOOD thing, ( as Martha says ) to me!

You can review vendors that are not LIW, the reason some of them gets pulled is due to the law, they will look them over to make sure that you arent writing anything that can get you or the site in trouble-legal trouble for example. If you keep it to what happened without 'bashing' a vendor it will not get deleted
SAME for LIW vendors, I used LIW vendors and non LIW vendors and wasnt completely happy with 1 LIW vendor and a non LIW vendor-it didnt get pulled nor was I asked to edit it-b/c I stuck with what happened....Period.
As for Mia from B ridal Lounge no one really knows why some places are ****** out, I do remember however there was a thread a LONG time ago about this vendor and I think that is when it was started. There are alot of vendors and companies I am sure that dont want there names on this site-for the simple fact that-LIW can make or break a company-unfortunate as it is brides do lie or take their experience and exageratethe situation and its not always easy to find out what really happened.

this happened to jess she raved about her DOC who is not an liw vendor but she is an LIW member who is starting her own thing....her post got pulled. i guess if its in a review its ok....but maybe rave about non liw vendors is not allowed...like starting a thread about them and raving may not be ok....just my thought

I thought maybe that was b/c she's another LIW member, but doesn't pay as a vendor? I don't know, it seemed weird...
ETS: Just looked at the LIW Chat rules linked in post above, and found this under things you are not allowed to do:
'Advertise a user who has a wedding related business'
That's probably why they pulled the rave Jess posted, at least that would be my guess!

I would assume that you could review any vendor. I definitely have seen reviews with non LIW vendors. I will also be having non liw vendors
