North Ritz Brides

Original post by missmmpr

Just wanted to say that I went there yesterday to pay my last deposit. It looked great. They were setting up for a buffet style wedding. I asked a couple of questions. There is one waiter per table, I also asked about the band. Maybe you have noticed that the place for the band to play has changed. I asked why and they said that they were fined and the location had to change because they were blocking the fire exit. I was a little unhappy about that because I really like the band at the head of the room. Also, the amount of valet people you have depends on the amount of guests at the wedding. They have nothing to do with it. The company sends over the workers. Yesterday they had 246 people and had 4-6 valets. I spoke with a girl that I have never seen before. I was also told that they planted bamboo to cover the turnpike. I think that wraps it up!

okay i have to just say that NRC should get there story straight on what they tell everyone. Ida (who I hate!!!! - tell that story another time) told me that they moved it because it seemed that everyone was dancing down at the other end so they moved it so it would be centered more. Did that make sense?

Oct1203 - Why don't you like Ida? I've been dealing with her and she's been really nice.

My sister dealt with Ida when she worked at Fox Hollow. We never had a problem. Very curious to hear what happened. I also got a girl whom I have never seen. Maybe she didn't know any better to not tell me the truth. Who knows! All I could say is that I hoped this is fixed before my wedding. I really do not like the room set up this way.

I just looked on one of those sites where you can get a virtual tour of the main room and there is a exit (fire exit) right where the band use to be. It would be right next to where table 18 is. That empty space on the seating chart. So who knows???

Thanks! I had never seen the floor plan any other way, then where the band is now, but it helps

Re: North Ritz Brides

how is everyone setting up the room
usually the room gets divided groom family on one side and bride on the other

Re: North Ritz Brides

This is what I did, if I remember correctly...I had to be creative. The room when I originally booked had the DJ at the far end of the dance floor so that would have been easier to set up groom side/bride side of the dance floor.

Table 2 & 3 - Bridal Party.

Table 3&4 - DH's immediate family

Table 6, 7, 8 - My immediate family

Table 9 & 11 our college friends (from what I am told these two tables are the loudest from the way the band/dj is positioned) - plus near bar : )

Table 12, 13, 14 - DH's extended family and friends

Remaining tables - friends and co-workers

Didn't use table 20, 22, 23 and 16 & 1.
