For those of you having your reception at NRC, don't you find the room downstairs oddly situated for a ceremony. I'm concerned about getting married there because of this reason.

Re: north ritz ceremonies
I know, I feel the same way, but I might do it and pray for good weather. Otherwise I will walk to the back of the room and then down to the center. I have a question for you, are the cold hor'doeurves passed or on a table. It doesn't seem that those are butler style. What day are you looking for and what did they quote you? I will be making my final decision too and I am considering that place.

Re: north ritz ceremonies
I am NRC bride but unfortunately I can't help much. I am not having my ceremony there. Would you consider having the ceremony outdoors, the outside is shaping up nicely?

I am getting married there also, but am not having the ceremony there. I agree, the downstairs room is weird. They told me I can use it for pictures, but I think the bridal suit will be a nicer place for pictures. When are you looking to get married?

Re: north ritz ceremonies
I cant really help you because my ceramony is not there. I am having my reception at the North Ritz Club. I recently went to a friend of mines wedding in the City and the Ceramony was about 15 minutes long. I agree that the grounds at the NRC are very beautiful and if youare looking for a summer wedding chances are that you can have your ceramony outside. Luckily you do not stay in the ceramony room to long so if you really like the place I would definately take them into consideration.

I don't think I am using any of their suggested vendors....I am not even sure who they recommend.
I went out on my own .... with a lot of assistance from liwedding.com friends!

they'll give you a list of their recommendations if you ask them! I picked one up about a month ago... but i haven't found them awfully helpful though... looking around for myself.
...right, you gals have truly been helpful. thanks!

oh yeah.. we're using the downstairs room for the kids! so we don't really mind! my bro really liked the floor in that room.. the cocktail room is ok, but i really like the bigger one.

congrads blushingbride! I am happy for you. I booked with them awhile ago and have never regretted my decision!
I can't believe how popular NRC is getting. I booked in June of last year and I think it was just me and one other bride on this board...now there are so many..it is so exciting.....

Re: north ritz ceremonies
Are you NRC brides satisfied with the service you'll be receiving... because I think the amount of wait staff we were offered is on the low side... are most of you going with sit-down or buffet? my bro hasn't finalized his contract yet for a January 2003 wedding reception.. we're paying $15,500 for the facility and service alone since we've opted to do outside catering for several reasons... is that a steal?

Thanks Bridetobe! I definitely think I made the right decision! Sisterofgroom: I am having a sit down dinner and there will be one waiter per table.

Re: north ritz ceremonies
Sisterofgroom we are very satisfied with the service we will be getting. A friend of mine had her wedding there and I thought it was great. Another friend od mine attended a wedding there this past weekend and she said the service was excellent and the food was delicious. I definately think you got a great price dont forget there is one wedding at a time. You have the whole place to yourself I would not be looking for to much of a bargain because then I would be worried. I hear many people are raving about the North Ritz Club.
