Re: Northshore hotels?

Is Stony Brook nearby? If so, there are a few to choose from - Danford's Inn - Port Jeff, Three Village Inn, Stony Brook, and a few B&Bs in the area.

Re: Northshore hotels?

I didn't think the chalet WAS that type of place...location-wise, you cant get much closer than that!
Have you checked out the rooms there? I know his prices are slightly less than the marriott in Islandia.
A girl friend of mine had her reception in Northport and had everyone from out of town stay there with no complaints that I know of.

Re: Northshore hotels?

That's a tough one. I live not too far from the Thatched Cottage and I can't think of any place unless you go to the big hotels on 110 (Marriott & Hilton)

Re: Northshore hotels?

Thanks for the info. My mom was saying just go with the Marriott on 110 but just seems far.

I will definitly check out the chalet & see exactly what it is like.

Re: Northshore hotels?

I grew up less than 1/2 mile from thatched cottage...adn I too thought that the chalet inn would not be appropriate, but a neighbor of ours used it for their wedding and everythign was fine...maybe ask to look at a room...

we used huntington hilton...and for the money I was NOT impressed...

my sister used Huntington cottage inn on jericho and oakwood, I think it was OK...but the people that worked there were flakes...we were trying to find reservations to give people hotel bags and they could only find 3 of the 8 people staying there...
