I know this should be on brides helping brides, but I feel so much closer to you girls!
I got married last year and I had my future sister in law in the bridal party (DH's brother's fiance)
They are getting married this fall - she did not ask me to be in the bridal party (at this point I will be a sister in law as we are already married)
My feelings really really hurt - do you think I am justified?????

Re: not in the wedding party....
I hear ya. I am happy not to be in a wedding party now becuase I want to be able to enjoy being a guest and not have to have an added expense. I do not miss being dragged for pictures all day and not being able to enjoy myself. Going thru something similiar right now. I did not ask FSIL becuase they were not anything when we were getting married, and regret not asking her. But looking forward to the positive side of it like I said above. feel free to FM mail me we could compare notes.

Re: not in the wedding party....
I would definitely feel sad. And, I have a feeling that 2 of my bridesmaids probably won't ask me to be in their weddings. 1 was DH's cousin and we had some drama after my wedding, and although we've made up, I don't get the same warm vibe from her like I used to. Another was a friend since 8th grade. We haven't had any drama, but we don't really have much in common anymore. She doesn't even have a boyfriend yet and we're already growing apart. By the time she's married, who knows if we'll even have each other's phone numbers.
I know that when the time comes, I will feel sad because it will be like DH's cousin is saying, 'I don't care about you as much as you care about me'
And, yes, my in-laws will definitely be whispering about how I had some of them in my wedding, and I doubt that I'll be in any of theirs..
