not quite white

This can be a bit tricky. My dress is ivory so we are going with ivory tux shirts for all the groomsmen, Rob will have an ivory tux shirt, vest and bow tie as will the ring bearers. The pillows are being made by an aunt, with material I found in my mom's keepsake box. (great way for me to incorporate her in my day!) The flower girls will also have ivory dresses.

Best bet is to take a look at the 2 materials next to each other. If there is a slight variance, you may want to talk to your photog too.

We wanted to stay away from pure white since we were told it will make the dress look dirty.

not quite white

Diamond white does not read as ivory in pictures, if you go with ivory shirts they will be too yellow toned. My dress was diamond white.

haven't found ANY ivory shoes. ANY LEADS,LADIES???

I agree with June. The ivory would be too yellowish. I would go with pure white.

Flash, where have you been??!! I was one of the people who accepted your hidden identity and valued your opinion. I felt as though your posting were totally unbiased and that since you were not revealing who you were it gave you the opportunity to call it as you saw it. And at the same time I did not fee like you were trying to advertise or sell your services, so you were more believable. You had nothing to loose just called it as you saw it, but was still able to give the perspective of a vendor. I am done with my wedding now, but you should stick around I am sure that there are other ladies on this board that can benefit from your knowledge!! Don’t let a few discourage you!! Take care and keep the advise coming

I agree Glory with your MOH. I too have an antique whitish gown, but not ivory. My fiance has white shirts. I never even thought of it. I'm having problems with my Navy. Never realized how many shades of Navy there were! UGH!

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)
