But there was a murder/suicide of a young woman in St James. She was stabbed to death by her ex boyfriend who then went home and took his own life. That woman was Katie Farrell an old friend of mine from hs. I'm so sad and rattled by this whole thing. I just want to say RIP Katie and let everyone know in the short time I knew her she was a wonderful sweet person and has gone too soon.

So sorry I knew Katie in high school also. It is such a horrible thing.

did you go to smithtown with her? i knew her from her old hs st johns. I'm still in such a state of shock

I went to St. John's also but only for 9th and 10th grade. I did track with her. I know I could not believe it either when I heard.
