how much was everyones gown? im trying to decide if im crazy for spending 5k for just the gown not including alt,veil,corset,shoes,tiara! the designer is ines desanto so if anyone knows where else i can find this designer please let me know, but as far as i know that bridal reflections has them exclusively in the ny area!!!

I also paid around $650 for the dress, not including alterations. It is an Alfred Angelo and I got it at the Bridal Suite in Huntington. I went to a few other places and was looking at dresses in the $2000 range but didn't find anything that I absolutely fell in love with. I think the bottom line is you have to spend what you are comfortable with and for me, I just couldn't see spending a ton of money on the dress since,in my eyes, none of them really justified the cost.

$500 before alterations, which are being done now, and I have no idea how much they'll be!!

$2300 from Priscilla of Boston. They had tiaras for $300 and up, but I know I will find one somewhere else for much less. The same with shoes, the Fenaroli's are nice, but I just bought simple, relatively inexpensive shoes.

ps When I was dress shopping a bride-to-be was in the salon trying on a dress and CRYING in front of the mirror. The salesperson said she can't afford the dress, but comes in once a week to try it on and always cries! I think you have to be at peace with the budget you've set for yourself.

thank you guys so much for the responses and the support! the more and more i think about the dress and the way i looked in it, i fall in love with it all over again! so i think i made the right decision i just wish it wasnt so much money! but i guess you only live once and now is the time to spoil myself....especially before the kids start coming,then there is no more spoiling left for me!!!im sure each and every one of us will look beautiful on our very own special day if we are wearing a 100 dollar dress or a 10,000 dollar dress! its the person wearing the gown that makes it beautiful!!! remeber we wear the gown the gown doesnt wear us!

I think you made the right choice if that's how you feel.
My girlfriend wore a $6000 Ines DiSanto and it was amazing and she has never once said that she regretted it. Her designs are just stunning and I think you're going to look amazing.

answer to question: $2525 at discount (Reem Acra that I bought online) pre-alterations (which will tack on about $450)
