yea tell me about it..I've only been with my FH for almost 4 years(Jan 16 will be 4 years) **** if I knew then what I know now I would have saved money from every pay check.

wow you sound just like me. Seriously i cant believe it either. I got my invitations on monday, since i got them they've been sitting on the floor in my room still in the boxes. My MOH keeps asking me when she can come over to help me with them. They need to be sent out soon too but i don't feel like it at the moment.

i also know our families are gonna start asking VERY soon when will i send them out, i am just gonna say you know what you send it out, ill show up and thats it. I think people forget i am the one who is engaged

its not even the money issue, well it is coming out to alot more than i thought it would but the problem is all the drama along with planning. Weddings make people go crazy

haha yeah I know that feeling. I actually had an email ready to send yesterday to everyone to cancel the party but my FH talked me out of it. Most of the problems are stemming from one certain party that shall remail nameless who is BEYOND controlling and dramatic. My only hope is that we are paying for the wedding for the most part by ourselves so hopefully there will be less involvement from others!

the engagement party. my wedding is too far away to have them now. I need to send them out soon too. My rsvp date is feb 1st and you need to give people sometime from when they get it until they have to send it back.
Plus I havent even bought the calligraphy program to address my envelopes

yeah thats why you can't host it yourself, someone else has to do it, not to mention an e-party is in honor of the couple so you can't throw a party in your own honor. Even if you do pay someone else has to host it. No its not insulting, actually just about everyone we know doesn't give gifts at e-party. Doesn't help my point bc they all give money though.
both of of parents were aganist it too thus no e-party

We arent having an eparty becausewe are paying for everything and cant afford it .... i know most ofmy friends did not have an eparty... but ifyou can then do it...
