Not turned....my baby is comfy in this position

Original post by michele31

This baby does not want to put his/her down. Perhaps he/she does not like the idea of a headstand for a few weeks. Now I read that 11% of babies are still breech at 32 weeks and 3.5% stay breech. I told Scott we are playing Lotto this week. Maybe I will be in the % of winners.

I'd be interested to see what the OB residents of the boards have to say about that Michele. I don't think it's possible for the baby to 'run out of room' b/c a.) your baby is NOT that big yet (under 5 lbs. is still pretty small), and b.) your body is built to expand outward as much as it needs to, in order to accommodate a growing fetus.

We are not that different in size - both 5'1' and petite framed, so I'd say that if I was able to have an 8lb.11oz. baby turn to head down, than your baby probably still have room to move, too. Keep the faith - I think with all your positive attitudes, thoughts and actions, the baby will soon turn and be ready to meet you!

Babies can run out of run but its a little early in your case. If the fluid is a low, that can make it diffcult, but they would have told you that at the time. Other than that, I can't tell you why some babies never turn. I wish I knew. Keep thinking positive thoughts and encouraging your little one. You still have time.

Do you believe in chiropractic? (not trying to preach here....even though DH is *almost* a chiropractor...I am still getting used to the whole philosophy behind it)

Michele....I don't know if you remember, but Lyndsey was breech up until 36 weeks. I was freaking out. I also tried everything to get her to turn. The thing that worked is the thing that I was a little wary of doing...I think it's called the Webster Breech Technique (?). Certain chiropractors are trained to do it. It is SOOO simple. They adjust you a certain way (painless) and then very gently massage the sides of your uterus. And I do mean gently...I barely felt any pressure. It is 100% safe for the baby. Trust me, I checked into it and did my research. A few hours after I had it done, I felt the baby moving all around, and sure enough, she had turned. Sometimes you have to get this done a few times for it to work though.

The other method of turning a breech baby (external version) is NOT safe and not always effective...plus supposedly it is really PAINFUL (my mom had it done).

I will cross my fingers for your baby to turn!!!

Do I believe in Chiropractic? I go every single week for an adjustment. I am going for an alma (sp?) massage next week. I go for a 1/2 hour regular massage every week as well.

I will ask my Chiropractor about it. If she doesn't do it can you FM who you used?

Gals- thank you soooo much for all of this support. It means A LOT to me that I have sooo many powerful 'turning' vibes out there.
