I'm sure some of us have used a few vendors that are not very well known or highly advertised but are just as good, and sometimes even better as the highly advertised vendors we get in the mail EVERY day or see at all the bridal expos.
So please list any vendors like such here and maybe follow it with an experience or explain a little bit about them about what makes them so great. I know I could go into the review section, but this is different then just a review. I think this could help many of us.
List any types of vendors...DJ's, Florists, photographers, videographers, DOC's, caligraphers, jewelry designers, Hair Stylists, Makeup Artists, Limos, etc. TIA

Re: Not very advertised vendors...
I had a lot of vendors who are not highly advertised but were excellent.
My photog. was Laurie Studios. They offer both traditional and photojournalism, depending on which of their 2 photogs. you request. I am one of the few brides who likes traditional photography, but it was hard to find someone who was good at it. I just think that photojournalism still looks posed and I don't like the angled pictures. But I still also got some photojournalistic shots, to mix it up a bit and my photog. was certainly able to handle that. There were no BS issues over ownership of my images. I have full rights to my digital files and was given that right away (not after I ordered reprints). The best part was that I liked the owner's personality. He was not a pushy salesperson and didn't have the ego that some other photogs' seem to have.
I had a few other vendors that don't get a lot of talk here, Temple Chaverim was an incredible place for my reception.
Well, I wrote so much about my photog. but if I get a chance I will post some other vendors' info.

My photographer was Christina Bohn. Loved her and her work!!! Everyone kept saying how gorgeous our pics came out!! She was the only photographer that we met with (and we met with the more popular ones on this board) that my DH really liked.

You're Invited Too: She sets up private appts. and she comes to your house and she has books galore of invitations to STD's from tradtitional to modern. She comes highly recommended by a family friend. Met her at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch showcase. That's all I know for now but I'm definitely going to look into it more when I get home from school
