Mmm, the power of cheese! Sounds silly but it's those lil things that make your wedding personalized and unique. You want your guests to remember it so add some cheese and have fun!!

i webt to a wedding at the Oheka Castle 2 weeks ago and they had pigs in a blanket! The waitress must have thought i was stalking her!! Screww the lamb chops and bring on the pigs!!

We're haveing pigs in a blanket during our cocktail hour too. I love them, my FH loves them and most of our friends do too.

I did a poll on the pigs and the response was overwhelming in favor of having them. Yum!

I've had things I like called 'cheesy' 'super-cheese' 'so 80's' and while I would have liked to rip them a new one for being tactless and rude, I didn't lose any sleep over their opinions.

By the way....pigs in a blanket absolutely ROCK!! I don't think Villa's serves them tho....

There was one RH I visited where the BM referred to piggies in a blanket as the groom's appetizer, as if to say most girls don't like them. I thought it was just me cause I love 'em!! I'm glad I'm not alone on this one, apparently he was just plain wrong. Altho FI doesn't like them, don't know what's wrong with him sometimes.

I agree, thank you for starting the thread. I always feel bad because people are apologizing that they are annoying us by asking us a question that they know has been posted somewhere, but can't find it. I think thats what we're all here for, so nothing is cheesy, corny, and don't be afraid to ask! One of us have been there before no matter what it is.

Edited to say: P.S. The only thing going into the reception looking was to make sure they had pigs in a blanket. The Harrison House doesn't, but my FH promised me a lifetime of them. So I'm good!

WELL SAID!!!

So love the mini franks. We are having both lamb chops (to please my mom) and pigs in a blanket (to please everyone else).

Mini franks are the best!

Personally, there are certain things I think are cheesy (not mini franks), but I wouldn't fault someone else for choosing them. And I'm having some things I think are cheesy just because I want them.

It's up to the couple.

i agree but ive asked that question before about bridal sneakers..i wasnt sure if i liked the idea or not..i guess you get nervous sometimes about what people may think..and i think a boost from the liw girls will help change your mind about what people think is cheesy..but i do agree for the most part

Dude we so need to hang out!!! One of the places we are looking at has 19 passable hors d'oeuvres and I want to make 15 of them pigs in a blanket!!! Except we are Jewish so we have to call 'em 'Franks in Blankets'.

although i agree with what you are trying to say here...the poster using the words 'cheesy or tacky'..
i think if you like something and YOU YOURSELF are calling it tacky or cheesy...well that isn't a good sign already...
Just because a person asks if it is cheesy doesn't necessarily mean they 'like it'...they might be just considering it...and having serious second guesses...

But the 'if you like it, go for it'...well that isn't goign to happen either...
I would say a HUGE chunk of the posts on this and other boards are
'Do you like this?'
'Should i wear a necklace?'
'how about this tiara, dress, shoes?'
What do you think about my make-up? hair?'


Sometimes others see what we don't even if 'we like it'
Sometimes we look for other peoples comments...And MORE TIMES THAN NOT...we benefit from the comments, suggestions and advice gotten from these threads!

So although i agree with you..i do not agree with the...'if you like it just go for it'

Not everyone is 100% sure how they feel about something and input from the ladies here is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

ETA...i think the people who are really offended by this is the OTHER readers who may not like the comments...ESPECIALLY when they are possibly considering the same thing or have done the same thing and 'didn't find it tacky/cheesy'...

They think that it somehow reflects on them and they take it personally...WHICH THEY SHOULDN'T...
IN THAT CASE i totally agree...if you like it..then GO FOR IT! And do not get offended by someone elses thoughts!

BUT you can't blame others for being honest...

should someone be rude, no. But i really do not think cheesy is rude, or 80's is blanatly rude...
