Anyone taking pictures at Old Westbury Gardens during November? I know it is day light savings time. My ceremony starts at 3:30 and ends about 4:00. Then by the time we drive there its prob about a 1/2 hr drive. Does anyone have any idea what time it gets dark?? I'm going nuts bc i really want to take my pics there but think it may be dark by the time i get there... grrr

by 4:30 its going to be dark. like, the sun is setting type of dark. any way you can take pictures before the ceremony? or you can do really pretty pictures with the sun setting

Thats horrible bc now all of our pictures are gonna be in the dark at villa lombardis too. I'm soo not a happy girl right now...

What time is your CH starting?
If you are able to see if you can extend your CH, then push back your ceremony by 30 minutes (if your church has the time) and that way you will gain an extra hour in between for pictures. Dont forget, you're still going to have time before actually going to the ceremony for pictures, so the only ones that will really be in the dark will be the ones of you and the hubster... but even then, cameras have flash and the inside of VL will be well lit :)

hey so im getting married 11/11/11 also and the photographer suggested old westbury gardens to me also but if your going I will pic a different place or is it big enough for two brides lol

we both lucked out since we're right before daylight savings!!!
ETA: i just double checked, because i knew sunset was later that 5pm on my wedding day....leesah, sunset should be around 5:45/5:50 on your wedding day

Nov bride in the house!!! im thinking of OWG as well... probably do pics before ceremony to avoid this issue... but FH doesnt want to see me before

were having ours during the day...so were taking pictures at 1030 am
