Now a call from a place a registered at telling me I don't have enough on my registry!

Just got a call from a place we registered at...telling me we don't have enough on the registry and asked do I need help???

What the h$ll??? Hello I am not getting married until July 2006! I can register for as much or as little as I want!

When I explained that my wedding was a year and a half away the woman got snippy with me!

LEAVE ME ALONE!

Thats so annoying. I can't believe they wanted you to register for more! Screw them, register for what you want.

I got calls from Michael C Fina and from Linens and things, but they weren't nasty at all, they just asked me if I wanted to come in to speak with a registry consultant, etc. It's a good contrast from the complete lack of service we've gotten elsewhere. i wasn't really planning to register at michael c fina (i just signe dup for the registry online w/o adding anything) but I may go in because they help you set your whole table, etc

You would think that a retailer would be grateful to have anyone come into their store to purchase anything of any dollar amount - whether it be the registrant or the person who buys fromt he registry.

Being the daughter of a retailer, I know that any customer is valued no matter how big or small their purchase is. You don't want to pi** off customers who have the potential to spread the word of bad service.

Why would you go and registerr for eveything NOW when you're wedding isn't until NEXT year??? Items are not always guaranteed in stock and seasons and styles change....what happens next year when half your list is 'discontinuned'???

When I got engaged, I was so looking foward to registering as well, and I was told both by Fortunoff and Bed Bath and Beyond that you should wait until you are at 9 months before the wedding, and for certain things like bedding even sooner, like 4-6 months since there are new styles out all the time. We registered 9 months before, but were waiting for things like bedding until later. (Unfortunatly, we never got that far since we broke up 2 months later!)

Well ...I don't want to mention who it was...I have had good experiences with this place in the past BUT I think the bimbo who called me had some NERVE! I wish I wrote down her name!

My FI and I are going there tomorrow!

I dont blame you for being angry, they have NO right to say how much or how little you have on your registry, and especially since you have so much time before the wedding, its not like you are not going to add a ton of stuff beforehand!
