NOW I KNOW THAT LI HOUSING PRICES HAVE GONE COMPLETELY INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that we are paying for the land but there is NO ONE that convince me that this .17 is worth $529,000. I am from Northport, I know the area that this is in but there is no WAY this is worth that!!!

There is no way that is the house...How do you get 6 rooms & 3 bedrooms in there!!! That is the size of my garage!!!

i am trying to persuade my FB that to buy on LI is simply not possible if we want to have a child one day or food to eat on the table. We both make a decent salary (over 100k per year) and it still isnt enough to afford a home on LI unless its in a not so great area

I get so depressed when I see this.
Fortunately we own a house here, but upgrading is out of the question. I would move out of state in a heartbeat if my mom and sister would come with me

I forwarded that to a friend who noticed that it was right next to the water.....that's why probably. I guess if houses on the water cost $1 million, then you can knock down the shed in the picture, and build a nice big 500K house.

Actually it is NOT on the water, it might have a small water view! The road that it is on is up a HIGH hill over looking the village BUT there are tons of tall old victorians around there that widows walks and captains terraces so the view might not even be there either. But by just looking at the mapping I can see why she would have thought that.
