Now ladies, you can be honest...

Original post by GettinHutched

I posted earlier my mom's dress and my quasi-hair trial. Of course Mom looks awesome!

Now, my hairdresser was just 'trying' something so it wasn't really a true hair trial. I knew when I posted the pics that the pics were bad....it's actually kinda funny cuz I emailed the pic to my sister, then I went to her house to show her the new headpiece. I walk in the door and she goes, Oooooh what did you do different to your hair? It looks so much better! I did NOTHING! The picture was just horrible! We discovered that with digital cameras, you gotta take these pics outside! So I was relieved to hear she liked it...but now I'm like eeew the poor LIW girls must think it's really bad. So...be honest!

This is the original:

That was taken without the headpiece. Then I went to my sister's, and her friend who is a former hairdresser, tried this (check out my cutie niece/FG! She had to pose with me!)

So yes, hairstyle #2 looks neater- naturally cuz my hair had fallen apart at that point and she totally fixed it. My only thing is, I'm not sure I like my hair ALL away from my face. I like to have pieces framing it. In the first pic, I have that...it's a little long and my hairstylist will cut it and shape it closer to the wedding.

So.....what do you REALLY think? I know you were all being too nice in the other thread when I posted the original- but like my sister said, the pic didn't do it justice.

Thanks all!

ETA: I'm also thinking- maybe I shouldn't have it wavy/curly on the bottom? Maybe just make it more full and straight with a little flip that naturally started to happen by the end of the day- what do you think?

I agree with most, I do think you look good int he first but the other (2nd) is soooooo elegant and soft!! LOVE IT! And to be honest the peice you have down ont he side of your face, I just dont love. I dont konw why but for some reason it looks prom-ish to me with those peices hanging-but that is just MHO

Re: Now ladies, you can be honest...

Thanks everyone! It's just so odd to me that everyone likes the look of hair all up....I'm so not used to it and I just keep looking at myself thinking I look unattractive. I'm just used to wearing my hair side parted...and I guess that's why I'm partial to the side bang. Ugh I gotta get past this if everyone seems to like the other one- it definitely IS more bridal. I guess makeup will have alot to do with it too!!

Thanks again! You girls are the BEST!

I actually LOVE all your hair back. You look beautiful. If there were a poll, I'd vote for #2. That one little strand of hair takes away from your face.

I love it. Honestly. I love it. I am never 'being nice'. I won't respond if I don't like something.

I REALLY like it. You are going to be GORGEOUS!

i think the 2nd pic looks great. i def recommend not having any hair hanging. it can look messy in pics and you may regret it when you get your pics.

I got it at Barron's!! Only $35! I was so shocked. I never in a million years thought I'd wear a headpiece...one, I never liked tiaras, and two, they can be so expensive. But I loved Preshy7's headpiece from TWOTY and had to have something similar. I was SO HAPPY it was only $35! Doesn't it totally make the look?

I miss my headpiece! I left it back on LI at my mom's...I wish I could be trying it on again. I felt like such a bride! It's weird how all these little bits and pieces are coming together and its making it feel so REAL!! I've been so emotional all weekend and I still got 132 days!

it's very pretty! but I do kind of like the softness of the loose front piece in the first pic...

FINALLY someone who agrees with me! You're the first! I feel like having all hair away from my face is too severe for me...but it could also be the absence of a part that is very strange to me. I wear my hair the same every damn day!

Oh well I just gotta wait til I see my hairdresser again and have a REAL trial...we can try different things then. That was just an imprompto kinda thing....
