Re: NRC or JT
I went to both, and of the two I preferred NRC. One plus is they do one event at a time, and depending on the weather they have a beautiful outside area for the Cocktail Hour.
Jericho Terrace had to many events going on at once when I was there (3 different events) and I was not thrilled with the room that I was shown

Re: NRC or JT
i've never been to NRC so cant compare the two. But also wouldnt matter bc it has to be what you want for your own wedding. Which one has more of the look youre going for? which do you feel you are getting more from? and which place gives you more of that feeling like 'ahhh this is our place' as long as youre happy with the decision in the end thats what matters. We all have different things we look for in Rh's, so go with the one that has more of what you want.
I got married at JT, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Also heard great things about NRC, so im sure no matter which you pick, you'll have a beautiful wedding. Good luck

Re: NRC or JT
i dunno... FH loves NRC.. i love the fact everything is one 1 floor no ramps for wheelchairs or anything... BM she was ok... JT i sat down 2 times with the general mgr Robert and both times aswome!! today he had the waiter bring in pelligrino bottles for us and cold antipasta tray we ate and talked in his office.. we felt at home ya know... buttttt on a friday night hes killing ,me wiuth the start time... its 830-930 CH on a friday night for the skylight room and i cant see having dinner at 11pm... its way too late.. so now i need to call him or go sit down again and price maybe a sat in Aug? he did combine a seafood bar & vinesse for me.... hes giving me the seafood bar without the lobster and im getting 3 choices from the v-h at no add charge,,, so that was good,.. butttttttt again NRC is 1 wedding at a time a bigger room indoor outdoor seperate room for v-hour 2 waiters per table 1 for drinks 1 for food.... i dont know how the food is and wont get a tasting till i lay out $1,000 also a friday in may is the same price as a fri in sept so i can have the biggest month for the same price and shes giving me seafood bar and FULL v-hr for only $10 extra a person.... a sat night i cant touch at this place lol wayyyyy too $$$$
at JT id have to chnage my month to a cold one and i dont want to....
i feel like JT will give me way more food but at the same time with a wedding till 230am whos staying for all that food???
and i like the fact JT has like 8 entree choices NRC only has 4... a meat a chicken a fish n veggie...

hmmm i can see why its a hard choice. Also, just wanted to say that i had my VH at JT in a separate room. I asked if i could have it in the room we had our CH and my maitre'd said it was fine. I was glad i did it this way bc gave it a whole different feel. When our guests walked into the VH the lights were off and there were candles everywhere in red votives, and instead of tables just filled with stuff, everything had its own section. Popcorn machine had its own table and somebody putting it in the bags for ppl, and every station was like this, waffle bar had own table, candy apples, cotton candy and so on. Also somehow i got lucky and i was the only event the night of my wedding which was a saturday night in may, i think somebody had cancelled a wedding though so thats why. And they wouldnt be able to change time for CH? i understand your concern and would feel the same way, although most friday weddings i notice start CH later than other times.
Did you ask NRC if there was any way possible you can have a food tasting before booking? maybe they will do this for you.

JT ...we were about to book there but the BM was a little annoying but the actual place is nice FH didn't like too much but was willing to get it for me!. I heard JT's food is really good I didn't like NRC they were rude to me when i tried to look at it!

Re: NRC or JT
I'm surprised they want to stop the coktail hour that late. My sister's was a bit early. But keep in mind on a Friday night...a lot of people will need to rush from work to make the wedding...unless they take the day off. If you start at 8 or 8:30 people have more time.

Re: NRC or JT
well JT said no way they cant do a diff start time with the skylight room on a friday... so i think if i do opt for JT im going to have to play around with my date/month etc...
NRC wont do the tasting without the dep since its you and 4 guests but they do refund 100% of the $ if you dont like the food... they also have alot more grounds for pix... and ever though it;s one wedding at a time i got a feeling that JT even if its more weddings then urs your going to be taken care of you know.. like the BM spent over 2 hrs with us today and last time an hr and change brought us sour apple martinis last time n this time food n also brought us threw the kitchen n we met the chef n everything....
he def sold it wayyyyyy better then NRC did.... theres pros n cons with both i wish i could choose already lol... i guess 1 more time at JT to play aounrd with dates n see the skylight room at night.... and 1 more at NRC to see place at night...
see the NRC room holds 300 people.. so with my 165 ill DEFFFFF have alot of room and it will be comfyy

I also liked that attention, we were at JT for 2 hours also. They brought out so much food for us, brought us drinks and even brought us a bottle of wine and kept asking if we wanted anything.
If you get your money back for NRC if you dont like the tasting is a good thing.
if youre going to take pics at the rh then the grounds are important. I didnt look at the grounds of any place i went to bc i knew i wasnt going to take pics at the Rh, i wanted to do a different location completely and thats what we did end up doing. But definitely something to consider if youre taking all pics at RH.

Re: NRC or JT
I think either place would be great for your wedding. They are both beautfil places. NRC was one of our top choices. And JT we have been to for a number of events and have loved it each time. Whichever you decide I am sure will be amazing!!
Good Luck

Re: NRC or JT
I really do want to go with JT but the late start is killing me also im a lil worried about the ramps for my mom (shes in a wheelchair)
and NRC is 1 floor n the bridal suites are up stairs n there is an elevator but CR and Ballroom all 1 floor....
honestly i loveeeeee the lil ground that JT does have compared to the bigger one NRC has,,,, im def going to have to think this over a bit...

agree with this...also the food at NRC was much better than JT's food.

Re: NRC or JT
NRC has awesome food, our tasting was amaazing! Also, like Denise said the VH is in a separate room (they set it up in the room where the CH is held).
I wouldn't worry about the food at all there
It may have been an off day when you came, but they were incredibly accommodating to us every step of the way

Re: NRC or JT
JT is amazing. One thing about JT is that I have never heard anything bad about it. Every time someone goes to a wedding there they always say its a positive experience.
The food is fabulous and the staff is really accomodating. Before we even booked with JT, they were so wonderful. They throw in more extras than any other hall. Both the inside and the outside is GREAT for picture taking.
