NRVBRD

How soon B4 your wedding did you go in and make final decisions.

I dont want to use the lace for our table. I prefer to match the guests since their lace is white and my dress is ivory.

Did you have a choice in chairs....high back or peacock like they said?

Re: NRVBRD

I went exactly a month before.

I used the white high back chairs.

I am not sure if you can change the bridal table, but ask-- they are so good about things.

yeah, I agree. I got to see the sweetest side of Linda. She said that she will personally be there so my day will be perfect.....I was so stressed about the lake.

Even though they get alot of flack here, each time I go there is a wedding and everyone looks so happy.

Sorry for getting involved..Tell me to shut up if you want.. From the look in nrvbrd's pic it looks like those chairs are wicker... Just be careful if you decided to you wicker chairs they may make pulls on your gown... I am sure she NRVBRD would know better than me if that happened or not.

Ps. I did planned my corporate holiday partys there for like 4 years in a row and they always turned out to be beautiful events but I went to a wedding there about a year ago and wow Totally blew my mind. It was one of the best weddings that I went to... I dont knowif you are doing the cocktail hour outside but it was unbelieveable... Great choice...

That concludes my butting in...

Aww thank you so much.
Didnt think about the wicker.....hmm....add that to my list.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. They are very popular from what I see. There is always something going on...even now with the construction.

As for outside, we are not but from what I understand your guests can take little tours...they are very open about that so YAy!

not to me

Nothing happened to my dress at all.

As JO ann said- you have nothing to worry about with CH.

People LOVED my wedding. We went to a wedding a couple of months before at a so called upscale hall in Westchester and my wedding completely blew that wedding away.

Yeah,
I learned my lesson from other peoples mistakes.

NRVBRD..... I am so excited about it. It is beautiful at night......I love all those windows.
And yes, the staff is really helpful each time I go.

Cant wait to enjoy my day.

Ladies - IMO - it looks like you both feel that you need to defend your choice of reception hall (from what you have written on your avatars) - Don't let people make you defensive! You love your places and that's all that matters!!!
ps - myasmom - you know I am keeping my eye on the place for you!

My cousin had her wedding at the Coral House and it was one of the best weddings I have ever been to. You will have no problems with them. Don't listen to what people say.

I have no idea about any CH dramas that might have gone down to cause this thread to go into the direction it has gone...
But I just wanted to butt in and add that I probably would have gotten married at the CH had my cousin not had her reception there.
(I wanted my own place.)
Her wedding was one of the best the whole family's been to.
Not only that, but my extremely picky father enjoyed the food there and still talks about it nearly five years after the fact!!!

I do not understand. My Avatar is not a defense of my hall- it is how I felt about it.
Many people have similar sayings on their avatars. I am married already so I do not really care anymore what people say, just trying to help out a fellow CH bride.

Yeah, there is some truth but not the only reason I canged my avatar.
I got ALOT of Fm from people who were disappointed about the bashing their halls received so I did change my avatar to something positive Not just from CH but for the other brides who FM me feeling the same pain......IT IS ALOT!

But I wouldnt change my hall for anything else cause as my avatar says:::::::its perfect for us !

But most of my posts were to get info from Jennbaby and Nrvbrd cause they survived the experience

And yes, I definitely know you have an eye out for me....you have been really helpful

Like everyone said, don't let anyone make you feel like you have to defend what you chose. I liked CH, but decided against it bc my cousin got married there last year. They had the largest room and the view was fabulous.

I know alot of people don't like the BM or the shape/size of the rooms at Larkfield manor but don't give a rat's a$$ what people think. It was the right place for FH and I.

Re: NRVBRD

Yeah,
thats one reason we picked our hall. We could envision ourselves there.
Also to tell you the truth. Alot of people I ran into had been married at this hall or the next and I wanted someplace where everyone had not been to before.
